October 2010 Hi, > we had the extreme pleasure of being at the Duke/Vale wedding which you played at last night Saturday October 9th...you guys were fantastic. Many thanks > Caroline Duke September 2010 Hello: I was in Sydney last weekend with my sister and a friend from California. We happened upon the Mercantile Pub while visiting the Rocks markets late on Saturday afternoon. The sound of your music pulled us into the pub where we sat for a couple of hours until you completed your set at 7pm. It was a fabulous afternoon and is a memory that will remain with the 3 of us. Your music was mesmerising and so full of life, and we could have listened to you well into the night. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and a wonderful memory. Thank you, Anita Gold Coast, Queensland |
November 1st 2010 re Saturday afternoon at The Mercantile Hotel I'm Keith Devlin - I'm the Scots guy from Edinburgh who was was at the Rocks Market and heard the band playing so just had to come in and hear more and I'm so glad I did. Thank you all for a brilliant session on Saturday - I really enjoyed it immensely. You're a very talented trio and I wish you every success. It's not often you get an electric bass in a folk band and the combination with accordion and guitar worked very well. June 2011 " It was an absolute joy to have Blackwater play and entertain our guests at our 60th birthday bash. Everyone raved to me about the standard of musicianship and great entertainment. Suzie obliged by singing several songs I had requested, and also threw in some pleasant surprises. It will come as no surprise to you that your Sydney fan base increased after this gig. Many thanks again for making it a day to remember " Paddy & Joe Turramurra NSW |

Just a quick note to say a big Thank You to you and the band for your wonderful performance at our wedding on saturday. You sounded amazing and everyone was commented on how great your music was. We're so happy that we booked with you, it was truly brilliant. And it was a surprise to hear that Suzie had known Hugh Fox since she was a kid. Sorry we didn't get to say thanks at the end, I think we spent the whole night trying to say hello to all our guests. But it was really excellent and thank you again. Best wishes Jade and Joe |
11/10/2013 Hi Patrick Thanks for two wonderful performances at the Irish Woolfest Boorowa. My husband has been to all 15 festivals and thought Blackwater Irish Band were the best performers ever. You certainly brought a wonderful Irish spirit with you and Suzie has the voice of an angel. Your repertoire was very varied and very professional. I had a huge number of complimentary comments from spectators so I would highly recommend a performance by Blackwater Irish Band for any occasion. Your jamming session at the Boorowa Hotel which is an Irish pub brought tears to the eyes of the publican. Well done and well worth my chasing you for all these years. Kind regards

Date: Mon, 19 Aug 2013 22:32:37 +1100 Hello,
This message to tell you that on holidays for a week in Sydney, we discovered your wonderful group last saturday at the Mercantile. We were so enthusiastic about your performance that we came back yesterday at Scruffy Murphy’s where we had a really great time. I particularly loved your interpretation of Cooley’s reel and King of The Fairies, two of my favorites Irish tunes. I hope I will have the opportunity to see your group next time somewhere in Sydney or better...maybe in Noumea, New Caledonia where I am living. Waiting for this moment, much success to you all.
Best wishes Nadine Le Dily Celtic dance club of Noumea |
